Around here, the front porch has always been more than a place. It’s where you slow down, stay awhile, catch up on what’s new, and share the things worth passing along.
That’s the idea behind From the Front Porch.
This is where we’ll share a little more of the Red Clay Mercantile life—the stories behind the things we choose, practical tips for caring for pieces you love, ideas for putting an outfit together, thoughtful gifts for the people who matter, and plenty of Southern inspiration along the way.
Some days, we may be talking about how to care for a favorite leather bag or how a pair of boots should really fit. Other days, we might be sharing what we're wearing to a Saturday in Athens, a simple gift idea, something special we've discovered for the home, or the story behind a new arrival at the Mercantile.
And every now and then, we may simply share something we think is worth knowing.
Red Clay Mercantile was built around the idea that shopping can still feel personal—that the things we bring into our homes and wardrobes can be useful, beautiful, meaningful, and chosen with care.
From the Front Porch is an extension of that. It's a place for the conversation that doesn't quite fit on a product page.
So pull up a chair and stay awhile. We're glad you're here.
Welcome to the Front Porch.
