Long before Red Clay Mercantile had a name, we shared a love for the places that made shopping feel like more than simply buying something.
As mother and daughter, life often had us living hours apart, but we always made time to catch up, laugh together, and browse the shops and boutiques that caught our eye. We loved discovering thoughtfully chosen products and those special places that made you want to linger a little longer.
Over the years, we realized the places we remembered most weren't necessarily the ones with the biggest selection or the newest trends.
They were the ones that made us feel welcomed, inspired, and at home.
That feeling became the heart of Red Clay Mercantile.
Our individual styles helped shape it, too.
Madison brings the bolder side of our Western soul. Her love of horses, rodeo, and time spent working at the UGA equestrian stables naturally influences her style. She's drawn to things with personality, character, and an unmistakable Western spirit.
Cindy brings a more classic Western soul—drawn to timeless style, understated Western influence, and pieces that feel as natural today as they will years from now.
Somewhere between those two perspectives, Red Clay Mercantile found its own style.
It's a blend of Southern roots and Western influence that isn't defined by one particular look. It's warm, timeless, a little unexpected, and distinctly Red Clay.
We created Red Clay Mercantile to bring those worlds together in a way that feels personal and genuine. Everything we offer is thoughtfully chosen—something we'd proudly wear, carry, put in our own homes, or give to someone we love.
Most of all, we hope shopping with us feels a little less like scrolling through another website and a little more like wandering into a favorite hometown mercantile.
